re:inertia - yejune

A few months ago we asked Yejune about doing a signature colorway, he replied instantly: “ABOUT TIME YOU ASKED!!!.”

For context, this was approximately 15 seconds after he joined the team. In fact, I actually hadn’t even finished my sentence. “Hey Yejune, would y…..” Somehow, I was already late.

I kept my cool, because at that moment, I wasn’t just talking to anyone - I was talking to the 2036 Canadian Champion, and one of the greatest to ever do it. If anything, the real mistake was thinking the question wasn’t overdue the moment he showed up.

Until today, I still feel sorry for my rudeness, so I did the only reasonable thing: I poured every ounce of effort into creating the best possible colorway to make it up to him.

Unfortunately, Yejune still hasn’t spoken to us since that day. No messages. No feedback. Just silence. But I’d like to believe that somewhere out there, the 2036 Canadian Champion - and one of the greatest of all time - has seen the colorway, nodded once, and thought, “Acceptable.” And honestly? That’s all the closure I’m hoping for.

The re:inertia Yejune edition pre-releases at AP Open 2026… Some say Yejune might finally show up in Singapore….?
